For at least a week now, whenever somebody has tried to transport me a picture via text message, I accept been unable to view the picture show. Instead, there'south download push button where the picture show should be, and when I click information technology, I get the error message in this thread's title.

I've had more than than ane person try to ship me a motion picture, but to make sure the problem is with my phone. Very weird. Are at that place whatever settings I should fiddle with earlier calling T-Mobile?

Oh, I should mention my SGS2 is fairly new, and came from the manufacturing plant with ICS already installed.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    Hello PacificaBren :ciao:

I practice very little texting so I can't offering much aid. The only affair I tin can suggest is to try Handcent SMS and see if that helps any.

I think I know what may be the problem!!!! I have had this trouble when a movie was sent to me from the pesky iphone. I am unable to view the picture but there is a download push button and guess what when I press it nothing happens.

Go ahead and practise the following test - if you have a family unit fellow member around you or friend that has a phone other than the apple fruit product snap a pic and send it to your self as an MMS (that should exist the way people are sending it) except the iphone has some weird stuff information technology does with pics and the mms function really does not work.

After you receive the text there should be a thumbnail of the motion-picture show in the messaging app window (that is bold you lot are using the default app). Click on the thumbnail and run across if you can open up the full picture. They are pretty low quality and you should come across the pic just too exist able to count the pixels on it.

Hope this helps - I know mms works considering me and a buddy of mine that got a windows telephone exchange memes all the time. :)

Thanks, merely two of my friends accept the same phone equally me, on the same carrier, and I'm not able to encounter the pics they send me. And then information technology's got to exist something else.

I phoned T-Mobile tech support and they got my trouble sorted out. I'm now reporting back for the benefit of anybody in the future who may happen to Google "Currently unable to download. Please endeavor once again later" and current of air upwards looking at this thread.

From the home screen, click on menu/settings/more/mobile networks, so click on "Access Indicate Names." In one case you're on the Access Point Names screen, hit your menu button and choose "Reset to default."

And so go a friend to send yous an mms bulletin with a moving picture in information technology to exam whether the trouble is fixed. That'southward what fixed it for me, anyway.

Hey, that's neat! I'k glad to know my mail service was helpful!

Where is the "menu" button? Is it that thing that looks like 2 pieces of paper underneath a box? When I push the ii pieces of newspaper under a box push, it does take a "settings" option but when I push it, in that location's cypher similar "access point names" or "mobile networks".
  11. 4WDGreg

How practise you lot make sure "data enabled" and "data roaming" are checked?

    Yep, that's the menu button.

When you press it, you should see a stack that looks like this:

    Settings
    Wireless and network
    Wi-Fi
    Bluetooth
    Information usage
    More...

You accept to click on "More..." to exist able to go along. From that next screen, click on "mobile networks," and you lot should run into the settings you're looking for.

My problem was having mobile data off because I utilise wifi. I estimate yous tin can't download attachments over wifi.

    Thank you for the solution!

For those people like me who had to unlock their telephone, (you can unlock your phone for gratuitous with a google search) the APN disappears every time yous do a factory reset. You will accept to re-type the APN. Some people need to change their APN settings if they accept been throttled, any that means.
I take AT & T service and bought a T mobile phone, so.

This is where y'all go to get the APN settings to type in.

Sorry for reopening an former thread... I tired to reset APNs but I only had 1 in the list and the reset button was grayed out. I poked around a bit more than and discovered that my mobile network was set to global instead of LTE/CDMA. I set that, and turned on my mobille network and all the mms w/ a non-working download button reloaded correctly. I got the messages instead of a download push. I accept a Note3 on Verizon. I was on my dwelling wifi network and all the same did not get mms. I' non sure if switching to LTE or turning on my mobile data stock-still the problem. I'd remember no matter what, if I'm on wifi, i should get mms. Hope this helps someone!

Thanks so much for taking the time to come back and postal service this solution. Worked like a charm. Awesome that you got a tech who was knowledgeable.

If yous exercise this you could get charged roaming charges when out of the coverage area. Peculiarly important if you travel internationally. Information technology has zippo to do with the solution to the fault.

I know this thread is onetime, merely I felt obligated to provide my solution for my situation. My male parent-in-law bought a LG G2 Mini dual sim that but uses 3G. We updated and installed all apps needed for his job too. Long story short, the attachments from the text service (MMS) couldn't downloaded any pictures.

    What I did:

I went ahead and added a new APN into the wireless settings, such as what tjgriffin posted. I found and used these settings: (Call up): Different settings utilise if y'all're using LTE phone vs a 3G phone.

    Name: T-MOBILE
APN: epc.tmobile.com simply y'all it's an LTE Device, use: fast.tmobile.com instead
    Proxy: <Leave in Blank>
    Port: <Leave in Blank>
    Username: <Leave in Blank>
    Countersign: <Leave in Blank>
    Server: <Leave in Blank>
    MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS proxy: <Leave in Blank>
    MMS port: <Leave in Blank>
    MCC: 310
    MNC: 260
    Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
    APN type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: Leave information technology to the Default ane

VOILA! It worked! Attachments went through and we were able to download the pictures! Hope this helps others. Thanks!

My phone was doing the same, so I went to the messaging app I'm currently using "Go SMS pro" and went to settings, then click on general, when there you should see MMS click on MMS Behavior if it says "Legacy" you click it then go back to your bulletin with the file that needs to be downloaded and tap it. After that your picture or whatever should come up through with no problem.
  20. Higd ty

How practise yous make sure that information technology's LTE?
  21. livy111

Everyone stop changing settings please. Just reset your networks to default settings.
Settings > Connections > More Connexion Settings > Reset Network Connections.

Warning: you will lose all of your Saved WIFI access points and passwords.
